Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SaaS Fees (“we”, “us”) handles personal data on saas-fees.rest (the “Site”). We keep the Site simple: no external analytics pixels, no ad trackers, and no background data sales.

1) Who we are

SaaS Fees is a documentation-first consultancy focused on SaaS pricing, fees, billing events, and policy clarity. Our Site is operated from the United States.

Website
saas-fees.rest
Address
1200 Market St, San Francisco, CA 94102, United States

2) Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy applies to information processed when you visit or use saas-fees.rest, including pages like the services hub, and when you contact us via email links or the contact form.

It does not cover third-party websites you may reach via links on our Site. If you follow a link to another site, review their privacy policy.

3) Information we collect

We aim to minimize data collection. The Site itself is static and does not require account registration.

Category Examples Where it comes from
Contact data you provide Name, email address, message content When you email us or use the contact form mailto link
Basic technical data Browser type, device info, approximate location from IP May be included in standard server logs by our hosting provider
Cookie consent state A local preference (accept/reject) Stored in your browser via localStorage key cookieConsent_saas-fees.rest

We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal information (e.g., health data, payment card numbers). Please do not send sensitive information via email.

4) How we use information

We use information for the following practical purposes:

  • Respond to inquiries and provide requested materials or explanations.
  • Operate and secure the Site (e.g., detect errors or abuse through normal server logs).
  • Remember your cookie choice so the consent banner doesn’t reappear unnecessarily.

We do not use your data for behavioral advertising, and we do not sell personal information.

5) Cookies & the consent banner (localStorage)

The Site includes a simple cookie banner. Because this is a static site, we use localStorage to remember your choice. The key used is:

localStorage key: cookieConsent_saas-fees.rest
Stored value: a short string such as "accepted" or "rejected" (implementation may also store a timestamp).

How the banner behaves

  • If no value exists for cookieConsent_saas-fees.rest, the banner is shown.
  • If you choose “Accept”, the key is set and the banner is hidden on future visits on the same browser/device.
  • If you choose “Reject”, the key is set and the banner is hidden; we still may use strictly necessary storage for the preference itself.
  • You can change the outcome by clearing site data in your browser (localStorage) or using any “reset consent” control if present.

Note: localStorage is browser storage, not a cookie. However, it can serve a similar function for remembering preferences.

6) Contact form (mailto) and what gets sent

Our contact form uses a mailto: link (for example, on /contacts.html). When you submit the form, your device opens your default email client and prepares a message to [email protected].

Data included in the email draft

  • Recipient: [email protected]
  • Subject: based on the form (e.g., “Website inquiry — SaaS Fees”)
  • Body: the text you typed (typically your name, your email, and your message)

Important: because the message is sent via your own email provider once you press “Send” in your email client, that provider will process the email according to their policies. We do not receive your message until you actually send it.

The form includes basic client-side validation (for example, checking that an email address looks like an email address, and that required fields are not empty). Validation happens in your browser; it does not transmit data to a server.

7) Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We share personal information only when it is necessary to operate the Site or provide our services, for example:

  • Service providers (e.g., hosting/email infrastructure) that process limited data on our behalf.
  • Legal compliance when required by law, subpoena, or valid governmental request.
  • Safety and integrity to protect the rights, property, or security of SaaS Fees or others.

Because this is a static website with no user accounts, most sharing scenarios are limited to standard hosting and email delivery.

8) Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. Examples include:

  • HTTPS where available via our hosting configuration.
  • Limiting access to mailboxes and systems to people who need it for support operations.
  • Keeping site dependencies minimal (no third-party trackers; limited scripts).

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you believe you have found a security issue on saas-fees.rest, please email [email protected].

9) Retention & user rights

Retention

  • Emails you send: retained as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations.
  • Server logs: retained according to our hosting provider’s standard periods (typically short-term for security and reliability).
  • Cookie consent preference: stored in your browser until you clear localStorage/site data.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights such as: access to your personal data, correction, deletion, objection, or restriction of processing. Since we typically only have data you email to us, exercising rights usually means contacting us and referencing the email thread and/or the address used.

To request access, correction, or deletion, contact [email protected]. We may ask for reasonable verification to protect you from unauthorized requests.

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting. Because saas-fees.rest does not run behavioral tracking scripts, we do not change behavior based on DNT signals.
